A Matter of Perspective
June 25, 2010
Most people I know handle tragedy differently. It seems in recent weeks and months, we have all had personal experiences with serious problems; unemployment, the Gulf Oil Spill; economic recession; political fighting; threats from terrorists; environmental tragedy and news of death.
Today marks the one year anniversary of the untimely death of pop icon Michael Jackson. One year ago people around the world sat stunned, watching the unbelievable news about Michaels passing. How quickly this year has passed. In many ways, it seems as though we were knocked down and haven't been able to recover. Our spirits are strained, our hopes are strained, our fears may be looming larger than we would like, our worries rising up over our states of calm and peace.
It's difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel, or the rainbow after the storm when news seems to constantly carry such negative images. But I'm reminded, from history, that as a people, we have endured struggles before, persevered through unthinkable tragedies, survived the most desperate of situations.
I believe it is a matter of perspective that fuels hope, that allows the spark of optimism to remain ignited within our very souls. I am hoping that my own belief that we shall overcome, and rise up stronger than before is what allows me the strength, resolve and courage to keep going. It is my hope that I am not alone, and that millions of others, around the world hold the same point of view.

I am hoping to have made it to the other side of these events within a short period of time, but until then, I am asking for your patience.
In the meantime, while taking this short and temporary hiatus from being on air live, I want to invite you to keep c...

Do not dispair, I have no intention of leaving internet radio or hosting the Catherine Bradford Show. I have made the difficult decision, however, to switch internet radio stations, and soon you will be able to listen to my show LIVE on LA Talk Radio, located in Los Angeles. This growing station offers over 80 shows, on two channels, in a wide variety of topics. I am thrilled to have the opportuni...
