Welcoming the Holidays

I realize that many people struggle during the holiday season, overwhelmed by the commercial aspect, as well as dealing with personal issues that often arise around family and close relationships. There is little doubt that we live in an imperfect world, each of us finding ourselves exposed to more than a 'fair' share of depressing news and negitive stimulation.
While I do not attempt to persuade you in writing this, I do write with the hopes that you will see the opportunities available to all of us through my words.

Do not forget that life is what you make it. You, and you alone have the power to create any atmosphere or influence your experiences more than you may realize. As time passes I find myself shifting my own perspective and recognizing this world is filled with an abundance of chances to be happy. Even if you have to move slowly through life, seeking peace and joy moment by moment, you will be supported by life to have a positive outcome.

Personally I adore celebrations, festivities and tradition. I am well known among my family and friends for my energy around entertaining. Decorating, making our home special, warm and inviting during the holidays provides me with enormous joy. Sharing all of this with friends and family provides months of lasting contentment.

Life is short, and should be enjoyed every moment. Friends are everywhere and we should all remember to not refrain from socializing due to shyness or awkward feelings. Do what you can this holiday to give without thought. The universe will support you.
