Understanding the Lesson

Life is always about learning. Learning by our actions; learning by observing the actions of others. We are constantly exposed to situations and circumstances that offer us important lessons that provide with opportunity to elevate our understanding of the human condition called life, and hopefully strengthens our resolve and determination to set aside judgment and live with a greater depth of compassion.
The events of Saturday in Arizona have, in an instant, delivered one of the most difficult and impressive lessons we can receive. Severe violence, bringing death to innocent people, impacts everyone who learns about this tragedy. Our reactions will be rapid and varied, again demonstrating the wide range of thoughts, beliefs and values that make our nation what is it.
If we are to sift through the horror of these senseless acts and bring out one lesson, it should be that any act of violence, brought against any human being or property, is NOT an acceptable way to solve our world's problems.
Change shifts what 'is' to the state of 'what was' when enough people on the planet agree. Common vibrations form into one vibration, spreading around the world instantly. Let this be the time when we rise as a majority to join together to put an end to senseless violence. Hatred toward our fellow man is fear based and from an old paradigm whose time has come to an end.
I am hoping that we can come together to truly understand the lesson that the tragic event in Arizona has delivered.
