The True Virtue of Patience

May 27, 2011

As I grow older, hopefully holding onto some of the wisdom life offers us through the years, I realize more and more that it is okay for me to let go of the role of "Superwoman". My entire life I have dedicated my full attention and efforts to accomplishing not only great things, but many at the same time. Ask any mom who has raised four children, kept a household running, and attempted to have any life of her own as well. Miracles do happen and many people are living proof of this fact. As I find myself sitting in the middle of my present life, the one "I" CREATED, I find myself questioning why I am not totally exhausted. Perhaps you identify with this trait as well. Sky's the limit; no task too large; I can do it; Step out of my way................all of these beliefs I've held at one time or another as I've charged ahead, full steam, no grass growing under my feet.
While my energy remains high and my personal creativity inpsires me to want to 'create' endlessly, I find my reason speaking louder than my drive, telling me it's okay to slow down, take it easy and relax. And so, in spite of the fact that I have a rather full and demanding "To Do List" I am taking things as they come, moving in smaller steps, slowing down my pace so I still can breathe at the end of each hour. It hasn't been easy for a high accomplisher such as myself to learn patience, but something tells me it will probably be one, if not "THE" most powerful leseson of my life.
On air I often say, "All Roads Lead to Rome". I should say instead, "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day". Being good at what you do, and happy with where you are has little to do with time. And so, it's dead ahead, and steady as she goes.

08/31 - Catherine Bradford, HOST
Radio Worth Waiting For!

Hello everyone! Well, as much as I had wanted to begin broadcasting The Catherine Bradford Show as soon as July 16th on LA Talk Radio, it appears that we are all going to have to wait for that DEBUT SHOW. Over this past week circumstances (family matters) have created the need for me to postpone my opening show from airing, and so, we will all have to wait. I am hoping to have made it to the other side of these events within a short period of time, but until then, I am asking for your patience.  In the meantime, while taking this short and temporary hiatus from being on air live, I want to invite you to keep c...
